DATA: ra TYPE REF TO DATA,
rb TYPE REF TO DATA.
GET REFERENCE OF a INTO ra.
GET REFERENCE OF b INTO rb.
d = b - a.
IF d = 1.
WRITE: 'This system is non-Unicode'(000).
ELSE.
WRITE: 'This system is Unicode'(001).
ENDIF.
4.7 and above.
Check if the system is unicode via simple program in ABAP. Some logic is used when you check it manually via menu System -> Status.
