Sr. Software Engineer SCA ABAP

Responsibilities:

• Learn how to use the Fortify SCA product to scan ABAP applications.
• Help train Fortify developers, technical support, and sales engineers on the principles and practices of SAP ABAP applications. Develop written materials to support this purpose. (Fortify doesn't have a lot of existing ABAP domain knowledge.)
• Help engineering understand any product deficiencies in the SAP ABAP environment. Be knowledgable about ABAP programming and the SAP technology stack: BSP, ABAP, UI frameworks, Dynpro Java, and how these are typically used to create custom SAP applications.
• Be comfortable looking at ABAP code and talking about security findings reported by the Fortify SCA product.
• Occasionally visit customers to perform Proof of Concept deployments of Fortify SCA to scan customers applications prior to a product purchase. These visits would occur with existing Fortify employees.
• Occasionally visit customers to perform production deployments of Fortify SCA to scan customers applications after a product purchase. These visits would occur with existing Fortify employees.

Requirements:

• Strong programming experience (e.g. development experience, OO-concepts understanding, understanding of interfaces, etc.);
• Understanding of software development standards and methods (RUP, Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
• Knowledge of source code version control systems
• Expert knowledge in ABAP
• Expertise in SAP Security implementation
• Experience with SOX and SOD Audits/Reviews
• Some experience with SAP security analysis to identify any existing non-compliant issues
• Some experience implementing solutions to alleviate the SOD (Segregation of Duties) issues
