Q. Is there a standard report for goods in transit as at a particular date?

A.
The SAP standard report is only at Plant level and not at storage location
level. Also the reports are for the period ( month ) and not for a given
date.
In our company , we needed the SIT report as on any given date / storage
location wise (and not just Plant wise ) for tracking and followup
purposes.

To solve this problem , we have written an ABAP program. The logic was
based on the Purchase order Tables in conjunction with the Matierial Out
and Goods receipt data. The report can also be based on real time basis or on period basis.

The tables which will be useful are : MSEG / MARA / EKPO / EKBE / WITH
MOVEMENT TYPES 351 / 641 FOR OUTBOUND DELIVERY AND 101 FOR INBOUND
DELIVERY.

Stock in transit can only be possible if you create the STO and issue the goods with 351 movement adn receive the goods with 101.
till you receive the GR it will show stock in Transit
you can run the report MB5T
