Скажите, пожалуйста, зачем использовать DESCRIBE TABLE.. LINES ..., если в поле SY-DBCNT уже содержит количество записей в таблице?

Как то у вас немного искаженное представление Wink
SY-DBCNT содержит количество записей, которые добавили/удалили/изменили в результате запроса к БД, и с количеством строк во внутренней таблице совпадает только после использования конструкции SELECT ... INTO TABLE ...
