Что означает звездочка в коде функции?

Code:
  FIELD-SYMBOLS : <src>.
  DATA: pos   LIKE sy-fdpos.

  IF i_str CS i_mask.
      POS = SY-FDPOS.
      ASSIGN i_str+pos(*) TO <src>.
      CONCATENATE <src> ' ' INTO e_str.
  ENDIF.

* говорит о всех оставшихся символах в переменной. Т.е. в филд-симболе будет "залинковано" значение переменной I_STR начиная с n-символа (переменная POS) и до конца.
Code:
FIELD-SYMBOLS : <SRC>.
DATA: POS   LIKE SY-FDPOS.
DATA: I_STR(10) TYPE C VALUE '0123456789',
      E_STR TYPE STRING.


POS = '4'.
ASSIGN I_STR+POS(*) TO <SRC>.
CONCATENATE <SRC> ' ' INTO E_STR.

По-примеру, в филд-симболе будет значения 456789.
