This UNIX script finds out if any SAP jobs are running. It is useful to start and stop an SAP backup/batch server

Code:
#!/bin/sh
#
# This script finds out if any SAP jobs are running.
# It is useful to start and stop an SAP backup/batch server
#
a=`sqlplus -s system/manager << !!
set pagesize 0
set heading off
select jobname from sapr3.tbtco where status = 'R';
exit
!!`
b=`echo $a|grep -v selected|wc -l`
if [ $b = 0 ]
then
echo "No jobs are running"
else
echo "Jobs are running"
fi
