Синхронизация внутренней таблицы и таблицы БД

Есть ли простой пример синхронизации внутренней таблицы и таблицы БД?
Я считал данные из таблицы БД во внутреннюю таблицу, отобразил содержимое в экранной таблице, пользователь откорректировал данные, я эти данные соответственно сохранил во внутренней таблице.
Теперь нужно записать изменения в БД - те строки, которые добавил пользователь - добавить в таблицу БД, измененные - обновить, те, которых нет во внутренней таблице (пользователь удалил) - удалить из БД.

Простейшая конструкция:
Code:
DELETE dbtab WHERE ...
MODIFY dbtab FROM itab.
IF sy-subrc <> 4.
  COMMIT WORK.
ENDIF.

А как в таком случае мне записать аудит (в каждой строке таблицы пользователь и дата изменения), только для тех записей, которые пользователь изменял?
Отслеживать и писать эти данные во внутреннюю таблицу?

Создать копию первоначальной внутренней таблицы. Перед записью сравнивать построчно две внутренние таблицы таблицы, до и после изменения.
