Столкнулся тоже с такой дин. ошибкой.
Выход - перед ASSIGN проверять стек вызова.
Code:

CALL FUNCTION 'SYSTEM_CALLSTACK'
 IMPORTING
   ET_CALLSTACK       = lt_callstack .

READ TABLE lt_callstack WITH key PROGNAME = 'XXX' TRANSPORTING NO FIELDS.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
assign...
